Hello!

I want to run pfsense 2.1 amd64. I want to ask which config is the best for this os (at this time the vm freeze after select default boot option)?

And another one question: Can i run pfsense normally in this option?
1 physical server with 1 nic (proxmox latest)
and this is the network config: prox.jpg
i want to create a transparent firewall between vmbr0-vmbr1 and i want to set the vms nic to vmbr1.
Its ok? Or any suggestion?

(Sorry for my bad english)

Thanks! And in 32bit option what is the best setup?
And what about the secound question?

pfsense cannot be installed in a 64bits version. Only option is 32bit.

Really??

Let me confirm that tonight, but I just installed pfsense in a proxmox VM and installed it from AMD64 image and it worked flawlessly..

The only thing I had to change was the CPU virtualization (from kvm64 to Qemu64

What CPU does your hosts use? There are some reports saying pfsense64 is possible on Xeon < ivy bridge. AMD is a nogo.

Node is running dual socket Opteron 4334 on a Supermicro H8DCL-iF motherboard.

Works perfectly (better than baremetal!)

For the OP, my pfsense config looks like:

vmbr0 (proxmox mgmt IP)
vmbr1 passed to pfsense as WAN (physical cable from modem is connected to this bridge)
vmbr2 passed to pfsense as LAN (from that NIC to my main switch then to my clients)
vmbr3 passed to pfsense as DMZ (not currently used due to network topology uncertainties)...
