Hey,

I am currently running a Ryzen 9 5900x with a Asus X570 Steel Legend, which afaik does not support IOMMU
Is it possible to pass through a gpu to a windows 10 VM using a PCIE x16 to usb adapter despite not having IOMMU?

Thanks in Advance

why do you think so? i believe that all boards with the x570 chipset have an iommu, only the bios support may be bad...

wdym here? how do you connect a gpu to a pcie to usb adapter?

to check the iommu groups, you can run this bash script( via https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/PCI_passthrough_via_OVMF )
Code:
#!/bin/bash
shopt -s nullglob
for g in $(find /sys/kernel/iommu_groups/* -maxdepth 0 -type d | sort -V); do
    echo "IOMMU Group ${g##*/}:"
    for d in $g/devices/*; do
        echo -e "\t$(lspci -nns ${d##*/})"
    done;
done;
