Hi all,

I'm thinking about trying out Proxmox. I have one question, say I create a Windows Virtual Machine using a virtual disk. Now I have two exteral e-Sata exteral drives is there anyway that I can somehow mount these external drives in the VM without making them virtual disks?

I know it can't be done in vmware.

Hi,
you can pass through disks. Like
"ide1: sdb" in the config.
But is your e-sata-drives allways powered on? I'm not sure if the host reconice an drivechange during normal operations (depends on chipset?).

follow Udo post, make sure you power off your VM before you add the disk. add the line to your /etc/qemu-server/VMID.conf.
