Hi everyone,
as above wont boot. i was following a guide on how to gpu passthrough (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HCzLhnNf-A), steps from reddit post (https://www.reddit.com/r/homelab/co...beginners_guide_to_gpu_passthrough/?rdt=48551) step 5,
and when i got to end of step 5 'update-initramfs -u' gave me error as per below:
"update-initramfs -u
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-6.8.4-2-pve
Running hook script 'zz-proxmox-boot'..
Re-executing '/etc/kernel/postinst.d/zz-proxmox-boot' in new private mount namespace..
No /etc/kernel/proxmox-boot-uuids found, skipping ESP sync.
System booted in EFI-mode but 'grub-efi-amd64' meta-package not installed!
Install 'grub-efi-amd64' to get updates.
Couldn't find EFI system partition. It is recommended to mount it to /boot or /efi.
Alternatively, use --esp-path= to specify path to mount point."
i rebooted anyway and then i got a screen hanging on
'Found volume group "pve" using metadata type lvm2
5 logical volume (s) in volume group "pve now active
vdev/mapper/pve-root: clean, 53525/4464640 files, 1957210/17835008 blocks'
so i guess i borked it.
i can access grub menu before above message so hopefully we can do some terminal kungfu , idk
my dual boot are on separate hdds and i was using bios to alternate between the two
thanks for reading.
