[SOLVED] No Valid Subscription Message but I have a subscription for all 4 nodes

I didn't really get a response from support on this so I'll try here.

I have 4 nodes. each with a valid active subscription that are not expired. Just upgraded to 7.4-3 but we've been running for a year. Everytime we login, we still get the no valid subscription warning. We've had this issue since 7.2 though.

Now I know that I can just go disable this on my own but I dumped some money into this and don't feel like I should have to go hack away at my hypervisor to get it to acknowledge we paid for it lol.

So again, the nodes all have a proper subscription.
The summary on the Datacenter page has a green checkmark that shows "community Your Subscription is valid".

The login screen still popup nags.

What can I do?

Is it possible that some automatic hook as been configured in the past to "disable" the no subscription warning? If it started to show after you applied the subscription keys, this is what I would suspect is happening.

If so, remove it and reinstall the pve-manager packet: apt install --reinstall pve-manager

Thanks Aaron.

These were installed fresh without any additional modification. Subscriptions were purchased prior to software installation. So I do not feel that any of the other techs would have tried to circumvent this. I'm pretty hard lined about licensing within the org and they don't deviate there.

I've applied the reinstall of pve-manager but see no change.

For what it's worth. My repo does work lol.

hmm that line (marked in red) indicates that there is some apt hook that is interfering here and that is probably the reason why you still see it ;)

That's why I posted that screen. Besides reinstalling the pve-manager, do you have any ideas on which directories or files I might be able to look in to correct it if that's what happened. It is entirely possible so I appreciate that insight but I just need a new thread to pull on. Something to look at. Obviously just because I don't think that's what happened, doesn't mean that's not what happened. So any thread I can look at is a good one.

maybe they canceled your subscription, like they did with me, they didnt like my money because they didnt approve how i was taling with them.
saved me 2000 euros. anyway, the business there needs to be pretty good that they can choose customer.

It is really a big advantage, if one does not need to make business with e.g. unpleasant people. :)

its not that easy. if your customer has your product, you cant reject support for them, but they did (they are in austria, they are certain rules). i will check the law site and go back to them. what do you think how often i disagree how companies talking with me/customer, they still stole the money. anyway. have a nice day

Please stop telling the community nonsense. Your comment does not fit to this thread.

Instead, read again the information from the shop team why your order was not processed.

According to this thread (German) https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/f...y-subscription-1-cpu-year.119832/#post-520268

You probably have this file present: /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/no-nag-script. Remove it and run apt reinstall proxmox-widget-toolkit afterwards to get a good copy of that package.

Somehow that must have ended up on your systems, maybe by some 3rd party scripts that were run.

I would still evaluate those nodes for other unwanted modifications - who knows what else got installed and what those third party scripts did..

Hello,

Just wanted to thank the community. I've observed your advice and my apologies for drawing out some hurt feelings from others. That was not my intention. I will take the good advice go back and investigate 3rd party scripts that were run for the sake of just knowing what had happened. The issue of this thread has been resolved and I am very thankful for that help to make that part right.

Anyway, thanks again! Hope you all have a good day!

I didn't see a "marked as resolved" tag or anything here but if a mod has a way to indicate that. Please do on my behalf.
