no Network access from VM

Hi,

I have a Proxmox 6.1-7 Cluster with 4 Nodes and CEPH FS.
When i add a virtual Machine on this cluster, the VM is not able to reach the network, except the proxmox machine that hosts the VM. Also this host is able to ping this VM, but there is no network access to or from any other machine in this network.
The proxmox hosts are able to reach the default gateway and all other devices in the network. Only the VMs have no network access.

The environment is currently a proof of concept for evaluating the replacement of vmware with proxmox. Therefor the 4 node cluster is already virtualized on vmware.

Ceph inside VMware? I doubt that this is best idea, beside that, if you have network issues you hit probably a limitation or configuration issues in your nested setup.

It was just a try for configuring, the VM runs on a ZFS, which for sure is also not the best thing on a vmware RAID datastore.
How can I check if I run into some configuration limitation?

I suggest you install Proxmox VE on bare-metal. Running inside another virtualization is for testing only and if your setup has limitations, it does not work as expected.

Generally speaking, testing inside VMware should work without problems.
