Hi

First of all i have to say that is a great product. I am new user and for now i am very impressed.
I am using Virtual box and i want to migrate to Proxmox when i finish testing. I have some questions that i want to ask
First Question
i have convert a vdi to vmdk but i can not find a way to import the hard disk into Proxmox is it possible? Eventually i did copy the image and renamed it so it can play with proxmox.
Second question
I have a vdi image that i want to import in to Proxmox without changing the uuid. I am running a Microtik router in virtual box and when i convert it i loose the licence. So the question is can i convert and import a image to Proxmox without changing uuid?
Third question
In virtualbox when i was restarting the host i was saving the guests and then started. Is suspend the same thing in kvm and if yes can i do the same thing with Proxmox?
I know that i can shutdown the vms but it takes a lot of time to restart and some times shutdown does not work.
Fourth Question
What folders should i backup so i can have a full backup of Proxmox configuration

Thanks in advanced and sorry if my english are bad

Hi,
vmdk-format is possible (but i prefer simple raw-format). Copy the disk-image (the big file) at the local storage (/var/lib/vz/images/VMID/) and edit the config /etc/pve/qemu-server/VMID.conf.
About the uuid: look with "man kvm" you can extend the device-entry in the config-file with ",serial=xxxx".
Converting from vdi can be done from inside the VM with tools like clonezilla.
