I have successfully installed Netware 6.5 with the following configuration:

balloon: 0
boot: order=ide0
cores: 1
cpu: pentium3,flags=-pcid;-spec-ctrl;-ssbd;-ibpb;-virt-ssbd;-amd-ssbd;-amd-no-ssb;-hv-tlbflush;-hv-evmcs;-aes
cpuunits: 2048
hotplug: usb
ide0: raid5:100/vm-100-disk-0.raw,cache=writeback,size=32G
ide2: none,media=cdrom
kvm: 1
machine: pc-i440fx-5.0
memory: 16384
meta: creation-qemu=6.2.0,ctime=1668728811
name: netware
net0: e1000=46:C1:FD:8B:BA:47,bridge=vmbr1
numa: 1
ostype: other
smbios1: uuid=049fe9a1-9a71-46fa-946d-6caf959c173c
sockets: 1
tablet: 0
vga: std
vmgenid: 567886f9-5f74-4993-bf78-50ed172330a3
vmstatestorage: raid5

The pentium3 CPU and machine type was important, with other settings the server hangs.

Unfortunately, the Netware Server runs VERY slowly. NW5-IDLE.NLM is useful, but the server speed was not better. Has anybody an idea what to do for performance?

regards,
Dietmar

raid5? what is exactly behind, hardware, settings?

this could be be a reason, raid5 is known to be too slow.

the Proxmox setup ist pve 7.4 newest version.

with this config and sata the setup was possible and most important fast but the the vga was colourefull.
do you have an idea what i have to change to get a correct output in the vnc. or what to change to force an vesa setup that is working ?.
