Hello everyone,
Basically, I have a SuperMicro 1U with 128GBs of RAM installed. I just installed Proxmox fresh last night on it and it only ever registers 1.83GBs of RAM. The BIOS shows all four sticks populating and shows 128GBs, I tried swapping sticks in and out/different slots and nothing changed. I also made a Fedora Live USB and launched that and it saw 64GB with two sticks installed and then I rebooted and installed all four and Fedora was able to see all 4 sticks and 128GBs of RAM reported.
When I try to create a VM and launch it with more than 2GBs of RAM, the VM hangs and never starts. I was able to get a Fedora CT started with 1 core and 1GB of RAM and installed PiHole and everything is running fine.
Tried updating the kernel to the latest stable from Proxmox. The BIOS on the motherboard was dated back to 2018, version 1.3. I updated it to the most recent 2.3 released back in summer-2021.
Any advice? I'd love to use this system with even 1 stick of RAM, but even going down to 1 stick still shows 1.83GBs.
