Hi,
I have a little MacMini laying about that I've successfully installed Proxmox VE on. Previous to that it ran Ubuntu 8.10 and I managed to compile a version of KVM that included support for running Mac OS X virtually (I only barely need it, wanted my full disk allotted to Ubuntu).
So anyway, I've found the patch (This may be the only one needed) and I've found the pve-qemu-kvm_2010-02-04.tar.gz source file. Basically it adds support for an SMC controller and using the OSK keys I got when I was originally running Mac OS X you can make Mac OS X believe it's actually running on a Mac... which it is! And legally so!
However it's not just an easy a job as "apt-get build-dep pve-qemu-kvm" and "apt-get source pve-qemu-kvm" is it? It's a shame there isn't a source repositoriy, so I was wondering if perhaps you have a "best method" for compiling a custom KVM debian package from your .tar.gz?
I realise this isn't a supported feature, but if it works - theres no reason you can't take what I find and incorporate it in the next release!
Thanks
