History: I was running raid6 and got corrupted data (maybe due to powerloss during syncing), most of data in lost+found and Proxmox VE broken. Upgraded Debian 10 -> 11 and reinstalled Proxmox VE again with the errors.

Tried tricks in this threat but didnt help: https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/pve-kernel-helper-wont-install.90029/

you run out of disk space?

check with:

Thanks, yes I got /boot 100% full, cleaned some old kernels and got now space:

Ok. So maybe I should reinstall those libs. But cant because it wants to fix the broken install. Should I try to remove all the proxmox packages and then reinstall those libs etc? How I can do that? Got important virtual machines backupped so I can fix this and remove proxmox ve completely here.

the question is rather what else is also corrupt, and why? it smells like corrupt file system and/or broken hardware..

Hardware is new, also disks, smart check didnt find any problems with the disks.. I have 6x2TB software raid6.

Update: checked again disks with smart and noticed that one disk is 5400rpm (SATA 2.6, 3.0 Gb/s) others 7200rpm (SATA 3.1, 6.0 Gb/s) ......

well, new hardware can also be broken, or it could be the memory that is at fault, ..

well, new hardware can also be broken, or it could be the memory that is at fault, ..
Found out that one disk in raid was faulty, replaced it and got rid of mismatches. Weird that smartctl didnt find any problems with the disk.

Have been now reinstalling libs and proxmox-ve.

Now getting:

you can try installing those packages with dpkg using --force overwrite-diverted, but I can't guarantee that will fix the issue.

okay - so the files are not officially diverted yet, but the apparmor features file you have under the diverted path is the one from buster(!), the grub-install one I am not sure (checksum neither matches current bullseye one nor the current buster one, maybe it's either but an older version..).

I'd still recommend a clean install, there's no telling what other files are messed up.. if you want to continue, you could move the two diverted files (features.stock / grub-install.real) somewhere else, continue with the upgrade, and then replace them with the non-diverted files from apparmor / grub2-common (e.g., by extracting those packages somewhere and copying the files). please mention the fact in any future reports about this system, it's likely there is more breakage that is not as easily attributable.

Ok. Thanks! Maybe I should do this then. This point trying to just fix the system.
