Does anybody have experience using external SAN connected via an LSI 9200-e on a SAS switch? The volume created on the SAN is visible during installation of VE (VE is instaled to an SSD in a "head node") but after instal we need to add storage using that volume, unfortunatly i have no experience with Proxmox and i am a hardware technician not a software, anybody got advice?

Hi,
do you see any further SAN-disks with "fdisk -l"?

If you have the right disk, create an partition (type 8e - lvm), than "pvcreate /dev/sdX1" and "vgcreate -s 4M sanstorage /dev/sdX1".
After that you can define this disk as lvm-sotrage in the pve-storage-menu.
