Lost ceph pool: now I cannot create VMs

Hello,
I am using proxmox 4.1 with ceph. I have lost the ceph pool where I have VMs (long story but I have had to destroy it).
Now when I create a new VM the storage box stays greyed out, probably waiting for ceph pool that will never come back.
I have tried creating an empty pool with same name.
What can I do?

Hi,
remove non working storage from the gui - then you should be able to use the remaining (good) storage.
