Hi I am running Proxmox 7.2 inside Virtualbox istalled in Ubuntu 22.04.ins

Just updated a kernel to 5.15.39-2-pve and PVE started to throw the error
Code:
kvm: -drive file=/proxmox-ve/template/iso/AlmaLinux-9.0-x86_64-dvd.iso,if=none,id=drive-ide2,media=cdrom,aio=io_uring:
Could not read image for determining its format: Operation not supported
TASK ERROR: start failed: QEMU exited with code 1

The other kernel 5.15.30-2-pve does not produce such issues, however I am unable to install VMTools properly in this case for some reason, and VM is slow there.

Please kindly advise.

Hi,
what kind of filesystem is mounted there? What is the output of the following?
Code:
stat /proxmox-ve/template/iso/AlmaLinux-9.0-x86_64-dvd.iso
qemu-img info /proxmox-ve/template/iso/AlmaLinux-9.0-x86_64-dvd.iso
If the second command also throws the above error, please also attach the output of
Code:
strace qemu-img info /proxmox-ve/template/iso/AlmaLinux-9.0-x86_64-dvd.iso
