Keine volle CPU Frequence vom Host auf der GAST-VM

Hallo liebe Community,

ich habe ein Proxmox Server mit folgender Austattung:
  • Mainboard: ASUSTeK W680/MB DC
  • CPU: 32 x 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900 (1 Socket)
  • ...
Auf dem Host habe ich per s-tui ein Stress Test durchgefhrt und bekomem dort die volle ~5.6Ghz zu spüren. Daraufhin habe ich mir eine Qemu KVM "Ubuntu 22.04" mit den folgenden Optionen installiert:

Wichtig zu beachten ist, dass ich die CPU Art auf Host umgestellt habe. Starte ich die VM und logge mich in die VM ein und starte dort ein Stress Test bekomme ich nur schlappe 1996.80mhz. Warum? Kann mir jemand das erklären und mir auch verraten wie ich die CPU direkt zur Gast VM weiterleiten kann?

Das ist ein Problem der Intel CPUs mit e und p Cores. Der Host kann auf die p-Cores wechseln, da er weiß, dass es die gibt. In einer VM funktioniert das bei keinem Hypervisor. Willst du Maximale Performance auf einer VM musst du die p-Cores fest zuweisen.
 
Starte ich die VM und logge mich in die VM ein und starte dort ein Stress Test bekomme ich nur schlappe 1996.80mhz.

Ich vermute, die Ausgabe ist von innerhalb der VM? Dort ist die Frequenz nicht aussagekräftig und irrelevant.
Wenn, dann musst du dir die Frequenzen auf dem Host anschauen, während die Last in der VM läuft.
