Hi all, we are in the process of moving from our old cluster to a new cluster,
Due to a high IOWait time on the new cluster, we have decided to enable Ceph caching to help, We are only trialling this at the moment but it does seem to be helping with the try of traffic we are throwing at it.
The issue has come about today then I have moved 3 VM backup files from the old cluster to the new one and restored them.
Under the hardware tab on each of the new VM's there are now Unused Disk's for each of the disks the VM has, each disk is pointed at the Ceph write-back cache that we set up.
All the VM's boot and seem to work correctly, and we are wondering 1) why these disks have appeared and 2) if it is safe to delete them?
Thank you for your time
John
