Hi!

I tested default migration VM (8GB memory, disk on ceph-storage) vs insecure migration.
Results on pictures.

Insecure migration faster almost 3 times. :)

But why is downtime higher when using insecure migration?

There is a heuristic to determine when incremental updates stops. This heuristic uses network transfer speed and several other inputs. Point is: 'its a heuristic'.

on second: migration speed 118.72 MB/s, duration 1:15

this is not a reliable way to determine the difference between secure/insecure, there are too many other factors here.

do you have Intel AES enabled (Intel CPU setting in your mainboard bios)?

Hm... I can't restart the servers to view bios. This is three ProLiant DL380e Gen8 (2хE5-2420)...
If default BIOS settings is AES enabled, then answer is yes! :)
