Hi.

I'm enabled spice Virtual Machine.

In Windows, click [spice] button.
I can download [spiceproxy.vv] file and double click it
Then, virt-viewer showup and Virtual Machine's screen is appear!!.
This is very nice remote desktop protocol!!.

In Linux, click [spice] button.
I can download [spiceproxy] file.
But, I can't use this file.

How to use ?
I was install spice-client next command line.
$ sudo apt-get install spice-client
spicec command installed in /usr/bin/spicec .

$ spicec spiceproxy
spicec: unexpected positional arguments

Please teach me how to use.

Thanks.

Does virtviewer works for anyone on linux. Virt-Viewer opens an get the error-message "connection to the graphics server could not be established"

works great on linux but you need at least virt-viewer 0.5.6 (as mentioned in the wiki article).

i testet 0.5.6, and the newest 0.5.7 both the same

if you tell in detail what problem do you have, then maybe someone can help.

I have this screeshot: Bildschirmfoto von »2014-04-08 22:50:28«.png
And when i triy it with "virt-viewer" file, then i get this message:
"Connection to libvirt with URI [no] could not be established"

Best Regards

which desktop OS do your run, on which hardware platform?

I run Gentoo (stable portage) amd64. Virt-viewer compiled from source.

I've testet this on my other Notebook from the office and it works fine. It has also Gentoo, same updatestatus. What can be here the problem?

I found the problem. It is an corrupt proxmox installation. On the hosts in the office it works fine. I will install proxmox fresh.

Thanks for help and regards

Command returns! It does not work, with fresh Installation. But yes crazy, with every other Host in the office it works. I use same Version, same Updatestatus... i don't know.
