I am experiencing the same issue as other people. PBS does not appear to be fully compatible with unraid shares ( if you work with big backups ). I was able to make it work by mounting one specific disk ( /mnt/disk1 ). No more issues after that.
Just created an account to came and say thank you for this guide. Still took me a bit of head scratching but that was due to my lack of knowledge. I had not previously created a VM on my UnRaid so and did not have binding enabled on my eth0. Took me a while to figure this out so I could connect to the new VM externally from UnRaid. The mapping element was clear and worked first time. Tripped up on the user account from my node as I needed to change the realm to @PAB and not @PBS. Once I got past all those, worked well and not have scheduled backup jobs from my proxmox node.
