how to recover deleted raw file of VM

Hello,

I have accidentaly deleted this file : volume 'local:100/vm-100-disk-1.raw' does not exist
How to restore it ?

Another problem :

If you deleted it and have no backup strategy (which you always should if you run anything important) then its gone.

Use

lxc-start -n 100 -F

to get an error explanation. But as it is the CT with the delete disk I assume that this is also the problem that it cannot start

Also please stop bumping the thread all 10 minutes and deleting your old "thread-bump-messages", that's unfair regarding the other forum users.

if the VM is still running you can recover the file (there are a posting from me some years ago) - if the VM is stopped. the file is gone.

backup error_log home lost+found opt razor-agent.log selinux var
boot etc lib media plus root sys
dev fastboot lib64 mnt proc sbin usr

Can I compress this folder and create new VM after that with this backup ?
I would like restore my VM with this dump !

If you deleted it and have no backup strategy (which you always should if you run anything important) then its gone. If you have some files, maybe you find some data on it. But I doubt that you can restore this completely.

There is no chance to restore data from recycle bin if you format disk by mistake in VMware, because all data will be erased immediately when you perform a formatting. However, formatting does erase all data permanently and completely. Simply say, you can restore data from virtual disk after quick format or complete format.
