How to increase swap size ?

Currently I am using proxmox 5.3-8 , I have followed all the method but I am unable to increase proxmox swap size which is currently 1 GB

free -h
total used free shared buff/cache available
Mem: 31G 6.8G 286M 15G 24G 8.7G
Swap: 1.0G 1.0G 2.4M

# lvs
LV VG Attr LSize Pool Origin Data% Meta% Move Log Cpy%Sync Convert
data pve -wi-ao---- 1.98t

Please help me to increase it !

Hi,
do you have free space in the volume group?
Are swap an LV?

lvs

If you dont have any free space directly, you can also use swapfiles

The issue is being solved, by your link given : cyberciti .biz/faq/linux-add-a-swap-file-howto/
I was unaware of the fact that it is Linux and we can run Linux command, thanks a lot!

I am sorry for putting the link as mentioned by freakshow above but this will help a lot of users
