Hi,
Currently I have 2 pools that are sized 3.6 TB and dozen vm disks on them. One of my vm disk needs more space but pool1 which it is on is full. Is there possibility to extend vm disk with space available in pool2?
thanks in advance
There is no direct way to expand a VM disk by spanning it across two backend pools. You may be able to do an in-VM expansion by supplying the VM with a new raw disk and then concatenate it to your full disk. For this to happen you need to already have appropriate scaffolding, i.e. use LVM , ZFS or another appropriate disk management system.
