Hardware setup Proxmox Backup

Hi All,

I am very new to Proxmox but I have a question.
I could not really find recommendations on the internet.

As Proxmox self can really benifit from Ceph storage due to all its advantages I could not see this for the backup server.
The backup server is a standalone host (in our case) and I was just thinking to have a hardware raid installed in this machine for disk failure setup as an RAID6.

Is this a common/recommended setup for a standalone Proxmox backup server?

Any info is appreciated.
