Hi,

I wanted a HA PVE cluster so i could start VMs on either PVE node if one would go down. So i followed the tut on DRBD in the wiki, see link below. I can now do live migrations thanks to a cross-link setup with two DRBD partitions.

My problem is, when one PVE node goes down i can't start/migrate the fallen VMs on the online node although the data is all there via synced DRBD.

Am i missing something? Because the tut is talking about HA and live migration?

Cheers, Boudewein.

Hi,
yes you miss something... the config of the VMs are only on the node on which the VM runs. See following Posting: http://forum.proxmox.com/threads/3698-Cluster-Question?p=20708

Ok thanks,

Reading the thread i will have to cross sync the VM configs in /etc/qemu-server to each pve node and make them available somehow as soon as one pve node goes down. Perhaps a solution involving Heartbeat/Pacemaker.

FYI: The URL you mentioned doesn't work, it's missing the '/threads' path http://forum.proxmox.com/threads/3698-Cluster-Question?p=20708

Thanks again!

Cheers.
