I followed http://www.jamescoyle.net/how-to/435-setup-glusterfs-with-a-replicated-volume-over-2-nodes

and have gluster volumes set up on two nodes:
Code:
# gluster volume info

Volume Name: vmstore
Type: Replicate
Volume ID: 43a8a4b9-2db7-4249-8400-d398f5489f0c
Status: Started
Number of Bricks: 1 x 2 = 2
Transport-type: tcp
Bricks:
Brick1: 10.2.2.41:/vm-glusterfs/gfs_block
Brick2: 10.2.2.42:/vm-glusterfs/gfs_block

My question is:

Do I need to mount a glusterfs volume before setting up gluster storage at pve web page?

Or is that ready to use in pve?

to apptempt to answer my own question:
>Do I need to mount a glusterfs volume before setting up gluster storage at pve web page?

It looks like the volume does not need to be mounted. With out doing so I added glusterFS storage to pve.

I'll add screenshots later. [ for some unknown reason pressing the Attachments button is not working].

could be I did something wrong.

tried to resore a lxc backup from pve and got: TASK ERROR: unable to create containers on storage type 'glusterfs'

storage is set up as:
Code:
glusterfs: gfs
        path /mnt/pve/gfs
        volume vmstore
        content rootdir,images
        maxfiles 1
        nodes sys4,sys3
        server 10.2.2.41
        server2 10.2.2.42

more info:
Code:
# df /mnt/pve/gfs
Filesystem Type Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
10.2.2.41:vmstore fuse.glusterfs 1.3T 128K 1.3T 1% /mnt/pve/gfs

# ls /mnt/pve/gfs
dump/ images/ private/

Any idea what I did wrong?

AFAIK this not yet implemented.
