Feature Request: Search by IP Address for VMs and Containers

I would like to request an enhancement to the search functionality in Proxmox VE.


Currently, it is possible to search only by virtual machine or container name. I would like to be able to search directly by IP address, similar to the functionality available in VMware environments.


In VMware, when the guest agent is installed, it is possible to search for virtual machines using their assigned IP addresses. I am requesting similar behavior in Proxmox VE:

• Ability to search for VMs by their IP addresses when the QEMU Guest Agent is installed and IP information is available.
• Ability to search for containers by IP address when IPs are known and displayed.
• The search should match against the IP addresses already shown in the UI, without requiring additional configuration.

This feature would significantly improve usability in environments with a large number of VMs and containers, where administrators often identify systems primarily by IP address rather than by name.
