When will Ubuntu switch to kernel version 6.10? Proxmox will follow later.

This is a bit confusing… does Proxmox follow Debian or do they follow Ubuntu?

I thought it was the former. Is that incorrect?

It is Debian. You can verify this by

~# lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Debian
Description:    Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm)
Release:        12
Codename:       bookworm

Additionally it uses a (modified) Kernel from Ubuntu, that one with ZFS integration --> the best of two worlds

Ubuntu 6.10 is out but not yet in Proxmox. Is there a way to install it as I have issues with my r8126 driver?

Hi, I am also interested in knowing when Proxmox 8.3 releases and if it will come with version 6.10 of the kernel. Drivers for Realtek R8126 drivers are not working with Kernel 6.8.

What was this solved? I am also waiting for 6.10 so I can get the driver for 5G (Intel Killer) R8126 driver
