I got this error when trying to restore a vma.lzo backup on my PVE 6.2-4

pve-manager/6.2-4/9824574a (running kernel: 5.4.34-1-pve)

Hi,
We had the same issue 1h ago. We found https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/proxmox-zst-backup-format-cant-be-restored-from-gui.69643/ and thus upgraded to libpve-storage-perl 6.1-8.

This issue disappear but another one appeared at VM restore: "ERROR: couldn't determine archive info from"
Our backup always worked on Proxmox 6.2 and the latest 5.

From now, dist-upgrade has run on Debian 10, everything is up-to-date; but still no luck.

Any idea?

Okay...
There is a limitation on the backup name...

We managed to do it after a

mv VM-template.vma.gz vzdump-qemu-999-2020_05_20-10_00_00.vma.gz

Is that normal??

The naming format will be a relaxed again a bit, patch is applied but not yet packaged:

Currently, it has to start with vzdump- then any of qemu lxc or openvz, then a VMID number.
The VMID requirement is dropped with aforementioned commit.
