Create New Cluster: unable-to-copy-ssh-ID

Hello, I'm new to Proxmox.
Today I downloaded the ISO Proxmox-ve_2.3-ad9c5c05-30 and am trying to add a cluster with the command "pvecm add cluster01" and get the error unable unable to copy ssh ID.


Has anyone experienced the same problem? Thank you!

your command looks wrong.

I was followed by a video How do I add another node in the cluster?
I try "pvecm add 192.168.0.12-cluster" authentication key already exists

try the -force option (see 'man pvecm')

You need to run that on the new node (not the one you created the cluster).

Sorry to bring this old post but got the same problem and keep getting the same error:

root@proxmox4:~# pvecm add 192.168.15.1-masterserver -force
unable to copy ssh ID

On masterserver:
root@proxmox0:~# pvecm stat

Found it, needs just the IP no hostname.

Try to enter only IP address not the hostname.
