Hello everyone,

I have two proxmox ve 6.2 servers, one in France and one in Germany.

I have setup a layer 2 vpn between the two sites (germany site beeing the server by itself [dedicated server hosting solution]).

The two servers can contact each other through the vpn lan on all ports.

I have read it is recomended to use the cluster feature only if you have a latency of around 2ms.

My latency is of 24ms wich is way too much compared to the recomended spec but I have read posts on forums that mention beeing able to make it work even with a lot of latency.

Also, logs on the server show :

Which is weird because infact servers should be able to reply to each other within 24ms.

I think I'm missing the point, could someone explain me what ?

Best regards.

I believe it is much more about that if you run an HA cluster, so that in the event of a node failure, the system responds immediately, because everything longer than 2ms could already scrap the VM on the central storage due to incorrect data.

But maybe someone has a better explanation.

Yes what you are explaning make sense.
Since I do not want to use the HA feature it should be working for my needs though..
