Cluster Setup Proxmox 4.3

Hi, I want to setup a proxmox cluster with three servers, I’m migrating an existing physicals servers to the new Proxmox cluster environment.

I have one free server who will be my first node in the cluster, I’m planning to install Proxmox, migrate three physical servers to my new node, then when everything is ok, I’m going to format one of those migrated server and install the second node of my proxmox cluster.

I will be installing the virtual machines in a NFS server.

My question is, can I join the second node to server event the first node already has VMs created on it? Or is just the new member node who doesn’t have VMs created to join the cluster?

Are you asking to join the Node to Cluster with VM installed? Then according to Proxmox documentation, NO,
You have to create Clusters 1st without any VM, and then create the VM inside the cluster.
