Hi,
I’m running Plex in an LXC container with the root disk on my local-zfs storage. However, when I try to move the storage to my ceph pool, my local OSD drives disconnect during the process. I tried doing something similar with a larger VM disk (300GB) with no issues. Likewise, when I move another LXC container storage to my ceph pool it’s successful. The OSD drives disappear and come back on the node as LVM2 storage. Only after a power cycle (not reboot) do the disks come back online and ceph scrubs it to have it fixed.
I suspect it’s something to do with the files in my Plex LXC having these properties: 1) long folder/file names, 2) lots of small files, 3) Asian language characters. I also have cifs/SMB mounts via host in the LXC, but then my other LXC container that was successful has similar cifs mounts via host. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to diagnose my problem more methodically so that I can solve this issue? Many thanks!
