Hi guys, I have a cluster of 4 nodes. But today I cannot configure 1 of my nodes via web UI (connection error - Timeout), the rest still OK. I can still ssh to it, but it does not show normal shell (root@Node), it shows -bash-5.1# and I can not use almost tools (apt, whoami, ...). The lsblk command shows that no sda disk (the disk I installed Proxmox on) but I do not know why I can still ssh to it. Maybe the disk has failed. Please help me know why I can still ssh to the node with strange shell although the disk mabe failed. Thank you guys!!!

Well, the OS is running off memory, are you basically afraid to reboot it and see (about the failed drive)? :)

Last time, I rebooted in the shell but it cannot boot. This node sometimes show error on dm device and hang the node so I have to physically reboot it. The memory I allocated for the VMs do not exceed the installed RAM

Why not boot off LIVE Debian and check the drives, smartctl, etc?

I am afraid you do not really have other options, apart from some iLO, iDRAC, or similar OOB ... you need to check the drive and it's also most likely to be gone.

What kind of shell was that?
I do not have the infor about OOB, the shell was the same as this time
