Can qcow2 image from another PBS be mounted on a newer one?

Hi,
After being VERY upset two days ago because of Proxmox and PBS shortcomings and sneaky traps, I have decided to rebuild my whole installation from scratch.
I am lucky enough to have installed PBS and have extensive backup saved in an external drive.
My PBS was virtualized as a qemu virtual machine on one of my 3 Proxmox nodes.

My question is:

• Will the qcow2 image where all PBS backups are saved mount on another PBS installation?
• Is there any recommendation or specific procedure to follow to mount the qcow2 image?

Please answer as it is my only way out of my current mess.

Do I understand this correctly:
You have a PBS VM that had a harddrive that was using qcow2 on the proxmox side. You now want to attach that image to another VM. How to do that is described here: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Moving_disk_image_from_one_KVM_machine_to_another

If that is not what you wanted to do, could you explain a bit more thoroughly?
