Hello,

I have a linux-friendly laptop (Zareason) that came loaded with Ubuntu.

I reformatted it with Debian Jessie with Gnome, and followed the instructions for installing proxmox on Jessie. All installed fine, but after reboot Xorg will not start. (Xorg worked fine with both Ubuntu and with Jessie prior to installing Proxmox packages/kernel).

Xorg log says "unknown chipset" , no screens found .

I believe changing the kernel to PVE may have removed the ability to use the intel chipset driver.

I know its strange to run GNOME and proxmox on the same laptop, but this is for a demo laptop so I can show some software running in VMs to prospective clients.

Suggestions appreciated thank you.

You can get this probably fixed with 4.4, but I suggest you try 5.0 beta, this should work out of the box on your laptop.

Does this mean I need to dist-upgrade to debian 9 / stretch and also use the pvetest repo ?
