Thanks for the update & quick response on this vulnerabilit.
After running

/etc/postfix/master.cf: -o smtpd_data_restrictions=

I had a look at the code & couldn't find anything obviously wrong. I reset all the filesystem permissions (truenas side), stripped ACLS, deleted & recreated the share & now it works....WEIRD.
Thanks for looking into this, but this looks like a truenas error.
Hi @fiona , thanks for taking the time to look into this!
I have multiple other machines that do not have this issue (windows/linux desktops mostly).
Truenas vesion is 13.0-U6.
Is your test machine domain joined & using a domain user as well?
Should I try without using fqdn & try to use...
Translation of this post (as best I understand it - Spanish is not my first language):
Hello to everyone
I have a problem that doesn't have a solution.
I retired a hard disk that was formatted partition in /etc/lvm/backup, and now it constantly give me an error that it isn't found.
I don't...
Hola,
No halbo mucho espanol e los forums in ingles.
Ok, I think I know what is happening, but I don't know why.
Here is the config of my storage:
root@vm:/mnt/pve# grep -A7 cifs_vms /etc/pve/storage.cfg
cifs: cifs_vms
path /mnt/pve/cifs_vms
server stor.myfqdn.com
share cifs_vms

Hi all,
This has been working for a while, however it's stopped working once I switch to domain authentication.
cifs_vms is on a truenas store also joined to the domain.
I recently recreated this smb share on freenas. This has disk images, isos, etc.
If I setup the share in Proxmox ve GUI...
Backup server is E3-1240v3 with 32G ram & sata ssds on 10Gbit/s Ethernet
VM Host is 5950x with 2.5Gbit/s ethernet & 3.84TB nvme ssd.
My biggest issue is occasional full verifies where the e3-1243v3 cpu goes to 400% for hours at a time. Typically 4-5 Hours.
Benchmark run from VM Host...
I have a question on this:
I have 2.9T of backups I want to move to a namespace, but only 1.7T free.
Is this going to work, or does a pull "copy" all the data in which case I need more free space?
From VPS Providers? I doubt it...that doesn't mean there isn't one....
Very few people host their own email anymore, so I don't think it's a priority for VPS providers to really care about that. I'm happy to be proven wrong as it would be useful for me as well.
Many companies that "host their own mail" OWN their own ips. You can always apply for your own with your local registry. There will be a wait however (sometimes in years). Another option will be a lot of work -- get an "Static IP Block" from ISP and make sure its' delegated to you. Make...
I've had this happen recently...I made a rule to dump all @gmail.com in the quarantine bin by default. Users can go whitelist who they want and the rest you'll never see. I made the following objects/rules:
Whitelist should be 85 (so it gets hit first)
Mail Filter -> Who Objects -> Add ->...
I just wated to say THANK YOU! This has been bugging me for days & here in 2022 this worked for me.
I have an LE wildcard cert, and grabbing https://letsencrypt.org/certs/lets-encrypt-r3.pem and then https://letsencrypt.org/certs/isrgrootx1.pem and doing "cat lets-encrypt-r3.pem isrgrootx1.pem...
Another idea: Is there a swap/paging file in the guest that maybe is getting backed up ?
Another idea: If you have a network file server, perhaps connect the guest to that & make the guest disk size smaller & I think that may help with backups.
I do think we flew a little off topic here.
I still think it would be nice to have a cifs/nfs option, esp since there are all ssd sans/nas available. Even iscsi or FC or something would be nice.
