    How to boot to Proxmox

Installing with Raid10 gets the same blinking cursor on boot can't find grub (and can't boot from USB in recovery), installing with Raidz-1 boots into Grub Recovery directly.

    How to boot to Proxmox

I've tried all 4 disks multiple times... none of them boot on legacy or uefi. Whats wrong with ZFS Raid0? I have everything backed up don't care if I lose anything.

    How to boot to Proxmox

I have 4x2TB WD Red HDD, a MSI Z77A-GD65 mobo, a intel Core i5 or low end i7? 32 Gig of memory. I was running proxmox on it before, but after a catastrophic disk failure I'm starting fresh, although I had LVM on last time. EDIT: Oh and on boot it just can't find a boot device.

    How to boot to Proxmox

Just downloaded 5.1 on USB and installed via UEFI, (ZFS Raid 0 with 4 disks) and proxmox will not boot at all. I can boot via recovery on UEFI just fine, can run update-grub: Found linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-4.13.4-1-pve Found initrd image: /boot/initrd.img-4.13.4-1-pve Found memtest86+ image...

    systemd and debian jessie template

Thanks, just followed your instructions and my new container appears to support systemd, no issues so far. Unfortunately, I will still need to recreate my entire server from the old container since I don't think I can modify an existing container to support systemd, but hey, at least the new...

    systemd and debian jessie template

I did try just a few weeks ago and the problem does persist in the new image. I have an old lxc image I created a while ago (well converted from openvz) that I recently upgraded to jessie and it works great with systemd (it is a 32-bit and my new one is 64-bit if that makes a difference). I...

    systemd and debian jessie template

So, realized after I had setup a new lxc container from template that the debian jessie template provided does not appear to support systemd. Is there any modification I can made to the LXC container to create systemd compatibility?

Create a TAP Device in LXC

I need to create a TAP device for my SoftEther VPN software to work correctly (as far as I can tell). I see a tun of tutorials on how to create an TUN device on LXC containers, and I can do that no problem, but I am unable to create a TAP device. I basically tried editing the TUN instructions...

Brand New Install = Browser 404

Even if you don't know Linux, if you have even the faintest grasp of computing in general there is a lot more you should have been able to do. Ping the IP address listed to make sure it responds to a ping. Try to SSH into the box, see if that works. You should also realize that if you are...

[SOLVED] LXC Backup randomly hangs at suspend

Same issue here, with NFS storage for backups only, the LXC containers run on an LVM striped disk array.

PVEPERF: Low FYSNCS/SECOND on striped LV on LVM

Well, nobody on that link seems to have a firm answer to this. Not sure how to proceed on this.

PVEPERF: Low FYSNCS/SECOND on striped LV on LVM

Question on performance I was getting high IO times on my single HDD disk so starting looking into speeding things up. I realized the drive I was using was pretty old, and was using SATA II. I found two SATAIII 256GB drives and hooked them up, and created a NEW LVM with those drives and...

    Transfer /dev/pve/data

Curious about the best way to do this. I am getting IO delays in proxmox (for obvious reasons, just running on 1 HDD) and want to buy 3 new drives and stripe an lvm across them to use for /dev/pve/data. I was curious as to how easy this would be to implement. Is there a way to transfer the...

    LXC Devnodes PCI Passthrough

Solved part of the issue for the TV Tuner passthrough: /etc/pve/lxc (conf files) in the conf file: lxc.mount.entry: /dev/dvb dev/dvb none bind, create=dir, optional 0 0 lxc.cgroup.devices.allow: c 212:* rwm

    PCIe Passthrough LSI SAS2008 problems

I didn't read too closely your issue, but that could be a kernel bug talked about here: http://forum.proxmox.com/threads/24178-Proxmox-4-0-PCI-passthrough-broken-in-several-ways

Still struggling with concepts of Container VS VM in proxmox

LXC containers use the same kernel as the host, so it is plausible that if it is supported in the base OS it will be passed onto the containers, but I'm not too familiar with APU setups, and not sure if you can limit that or unlimit that per container, especially since I don't know exactly how...

    LXC Devnodes PCI Passthrough

Just upgraded to Proxmox 4.0 by backing up my containers and VM's and then restoring them.. have a few questions about LXC I guess. 1) In OpenVZ I was able to do PCI "passthrough" using "devnodes" for example (vzctl set 1000 --devnodes device:rw --save) to send my PCI TV Tuner through to an...

    IOMMU issue

I think I already know the answer to this question, but was hoping someone could verify this for me. I am constantly having issues with pci passthrough to containers when trying to pass through a tv tuner PCI device: DEVNODES="dvb/adapter0/demux0:rw " DEVNODES="dvb/adapter0/dvr0:rw "...

    Can't access to web interface

Are you trying to connect using https? What port are you connecting to? what does the output of "netstat -apn | grep 8006" (which if I remember correctly is the default port) show? It should return "pveproxy" running on that port.
