I broke the networking on a proxmox node by entering an invalid configuration in the GUI.
I need instructions on how to manually adjust /etc/network/interfaces to manually set the bridge and eth0 back to a working configuration.
What's an ideal config. This is on a manually built Proxmox in...
I followed the article:
https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Install_Proxmox_VE_on_Debian_Jessie
Line-by-line, and the failure occurs at this point in the article:
Install the Proxmox VE packages:
apt-get install proxmox-ve ntp ssh postfix ksm-control-daemon open-iscsi systemd-sysv
After running the command:
apt-get install proxmox-ve ntp ssh postfix ksm-control-daemon open-iscsi systemd-sysv
On a new Jessie build based on the above article, here is the is the output from the command:

I tried to build a Proxmox from a Debian base system instead of installing from the ISO using this article:
https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Install_Proxmox_VE_on_Debian_Jessie
When I got the command which actually installs Proxmox:
apt-get install proxmox-ve ntp ssh postfix ksm-control-daemon...
I followed these instructions to remove one node from my two-cluster test lab:
https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Proxmox_VE_4.x_Cluster#Remove_a_cluster_node
The issue now is I'm getting a cluster failure, is this because I needed to have three nodes for this to work. Is there a way to disable the...
I understand the way to get the entire Proxmox server working on an encrypted host is to build a Debian encrypted system using LUKS and then manually pull down proxmox. My question is how do folks get this to securely and automatically mount so you don't need to manually enter the password each...
Group,
I have a two-node Proxmox cluster. I want to remove a node from the cluster, and then rebuild it. The goal is to build a completely encrypted server physical volume so the physical drive is encrypted if it gets in the wrong hands. My understanding is the right way to do this is do a...
Hello Group,
I'm wondering how folks backup their Proxmox servers and VM's?
I noticed options appear at the Data Center and VM level, but not the server level. How do I setup backup storage, and what kinds of storage can it be: i.e. can I backup VM's from one server to another, how do I backup...
pve-data does not show as available under local storage on the PVE2 server which I setup and I'm trying to figure out how to get it to appear.

I had an initial Proxmox server PVE, and then I created a second Proxmox server PVE2, I setup them up in a cluster using the command line.
The server PVE2 has a 1 Terabyte hard disk, but for some reason the base installation of Proxmox only created a 100 gig root disk, and the rest of the...
I have a cluster setup with two server. On the second server I setup only the root / swap storage is showing up in the web UI:

I'm trying to discover what types of encryption options are available in Proxmox 4.2.x. I have it setup, and I am wondering what options for encrypting volumes are available. If I've already done the base install can I encrypt the data volume after the fact?
I also noticed that the setup...
My question is if I setup a guest (or import a Virtualbox guest I created) of Cuckoo sandbox (running on Ubuntu 14.04) and then within this Ghost setup Virtualbox 4.3.36, will acceleration be available so I can run a Windows-XP 64-bit ghost with the Virtualbox environment that is running on top...
Problem solved... It was the managed switch which was blocking layer-2 requests. This is interesting because it implies ARP requests from the VM's are broadcast out to the switch even from localized VM activity.
