On my email system we support aliases. Users get quarantine notifications for the 'sent to' email address and for their base address. When accessing the quarantine, they see all spam regardless which login link they use.
When using the base address link, they get error message "Error 403...
Hi everyone,
I just ordered a new AX41 server at Hetzner and tried to install PVE 8.0.
Base is Debian 12 Bookworm, I use the installation from https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Install_Proxmox_VE_on_Debian_12_Bookworm. At least I try to...
pve-kernel-6.2 hangs on boot. I gave pve-kernel-6.1 a try...
I do not get any spam reports.
Using the commandline
pmgreport -debug 1
works, I also get daily usage reports
pmgqm status
lists all users and # of spam in quarantine
pmgqm send -debug 1
empty output
Do you have any hints, where to look for?

On a test server pair I installed Proxmox 5.1 and created a ZFS pool.
Configuration:
2 servers as a cluster running Proxmox 5.1
each server has one internal RAID disk (RAID 10, 14 disks)
and one external RAID disk (RAID 6, 10 disks), external disk is used as ZFS storage
(YES, only one disk...
First, let me thank for this great new version.
After installing from scratch I see, that my disk is formatted with one large partition, which is used for lvm. I have three LVs, root, swap and data.
To build a HA cluster of 2 nodes I want to use DRBD for my storage. I don't want to change too...
In my environment I like to restrict user privileges to networks (to VLANs).
The pool management does not allow to specify networks. Object paths described in the wiki (User Management) also do not list network objects.
How can I do that?
My wishes for an ideal solution would allow for...
Today I did a big update from 2.3 to 4.1, most things run fine.
But I have no IPv6 running anymore. Static addresses in /etc/network/interfaces do not get set on boot.
Did I miss anything?
Thanks for any help

Strange behaviour on starting lxc containers on VE 4.1...
I created a test VM with PVE 4.1 and installed some lxc containers (converted from openvz backup). It looks very promising so far.
On reboot of the host (here, HOST is my PVE 4.1 qemu VM running on PVE 2.3) all containers marked as...
I'm running a three node 3.4 cluster with integrated ceph server.
Upgrading another test cluster showed that one has to be very careful as you have to create a new cluster. So I have some questions:
Did anybody already upgrade a running 3.4 ceph cluster to 4.0?
Will I loose my ceph...
When upgrading my cluster from 3.4 to 4.0 I got heavy trouble with multicast problems. It took a lot of effort to find a solution. I decided to share it here...
Upgrading from 3.4 to 4.0 also changed cluster communication from unicast UDPU to multicast. As our network should have been multicast...
I saw that Proxmox VE 4.0 is using raw images and loop mounts for containers.
There is an older article in the net
https://www.stgraber.org/2012/03/04/booting-an-ubuntu-12-04-virtual-machine-in-an-lxc-container/
which explains, how to use a real VM image for booting a container.
I didn't try...
I' using Proxmox and OVS to build up a Network overlay for virtual datacenters (aka private cloud) using GRE tunnels. I also run a dedicated sniffing infrastructure for analyzing traffic from physical switches using analyzers in virtual machines.
Now I'm facing to distribute this infrastructure...
When I try to use only part of my harddisk, Proxmox VE installer doesn't respect the hdsize parameter.
In 3.4 it isn't possible anymore to use a boot commandline. Instead you have to provide the options using the graphical installer. Setting swap, root and vz gets respected by the installer...
When I try to connect from my Win7 machine, I get the error:
"Unable to connect to the graphic server"
After a little searching around I tried all hints, nothing helps.
I ran remote-viewer with option --debug to see error messages.
I did this within one second(!!) after download of the config...
I want to set up user quotas within my container.
Proxmox 1.9, two disks, ext3, mounted to / and /home1
Container Ubuntu Lucid, two disks
/ mounted from /var/lib/vz/private/101
/home1 mounted from /home1/101
/ within container has user quotas enabled (via Proxmox web interface)
How do I...
