I thought these were support forums. If you do not have a solution to offer, keep your arrogant comments to yourself.
Nobody knows everything and we all need help from time to time. Hope you get similar snide comments when you need help .
OK, I got it working , but had to make some modifications to what was suggested on the Proxmox web page.
Added the following to /etc/network/interfaces (at the end AFTER vmbr0)
auto vmbr1
iface vmbr1 inet static
address 10.10.10.1
netmask 255.255.255.0

OK, so I upgrdaed to Proxmox 4.0 yesterday, upgrade went smooth on the host.
Converting openvz guest , not so good.
Followed the guide - https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Convert_OpenVZ_to_LXC
Everything looked good up to the networking part.
The web interface did not configure for NAT (guest was...
Thank you fro taking the time to answer.
Yes, I see that information, but it is very basic.
How do you configure the lcx guests or kvm guests to use NAT from the web interface ? The only option I see for LXC is to use a bridge?
If it needs to be configured on the command line in host and or...
I suspect the user case where one has a limited number of ipv4 it is popular to have lxc clients on a private subnet such as 10.0.0.0/24
There does not seem to be any way to do this with the web interface, and documentation seems to be poor.
I am ab bit surprised as I am guessing this is a...

I upgraded a second machine yesterday. Before the upgrade I returned to the default configuration of my network and did not run "./pve-upgrade-1.1-to-1.2 --purge" . Upgrade went fine. Other then that I would say thank you for your work with Proxmox. If you do not want to look at the update...
Umm ... I think you will have to admit that the update script is more complicated then a single line "apt-get dist-upgrade" :p I do not see how zsh would have been removed if not by the upgrades script, I certainly did not run apt-ger remove zsh ;) Like wise with the networking issue. I had...
I upgraded just today to Proxmox VE 1.2.
Over all the upgrade went well, but a few glitches for everyone to be aware of ;)
First I used the script here :
http://pve.proxmox.com/debian/dists/lenny/pve-upgrade-1.1-to-1.2
The two issues I ran into were :
1. The upgrade process seemed to...
I have finally gotten to install Proxmox on a dedicated server and it is nice. I did not see any other place for feedback and I apologize if this is not the correct location (just point me to a better place ;) ) .Two requests for the web management interface :

I was having this problem also and solved it by manually installing the latest JRE.
There is a very easy how to here (works for 32 and 64 bit):
Install Java JRE 1.6.0 (Update x) in Linux as the Default Java Runtime, including Firefox Browser Plugin | 64 Bit Jungle
Thank you for your reply and your consideration.
I understand (and appreciate) the desire to make things easy and I am sure you get many such requests. I figured I would take the time to give you some feedback as I appreciate your project very much.
In terms of the CD, yes the md5sum is...
