[SOLVED] After destruction ZPool remains in the GUI

In Proxmox 7.02.11, I ran the command: zpool destroy MY-Pool With zpool status it no longer appears in the list, but it is always present in the GUI and if I try to create a new ZPool with the same name it gives me an error. How do I permanently remove it?

[SOLVED] HP DL380p Gen8. I can only boot from USB.

I have an HP DL380p Gen8 server with 25x300GB SAS HDDs and 2x480GB NVMe installed on PCI Express adapters. I have installed Proxmox 7 on these two NVMe, but then the boot does not start. I have read on the net that the server is too old to accept booting from PCI although they are seen in the...

    Advice for new installation.

OK, so with this new disks configuration: 2x300 HDDs for Boot and OS (RAID1) 10x300 HDDs ZFS pool (RAID-Z2 or Z3) 1x250 NVMe, but in USB 2.0, for ZIL What is your opinion?

    Advice for new installation.

I'm confused. Hasn't it always been said that using ZFS with RAID disks managed by hardware controllers may result in corrupted data? That the performances are not the best, at the moment I can accept it and then soon I will buy a different server, but I cannot risk that the backups are corrupted.

    Advice for new installation.

I had read the documentation. As I wrote previously "I am forced to use the raid managed by the Dell controller because the PERC H700 does not allow direct access to individual disks. I can at most configure them in the controller as RAID0" So I can't use ZFS, but only EXT4. My problem...

    Advice for new installation.

Thanks for your answer. Sorry, but I didn't understand why "PBS is by the way not designed to run on HDDs." The documentation makes no mention of it. However on this server there are only HDDs and, as I said initially, I am forced to use the raid managed by the Dell controller because the PERC...

    Advice for new installation.

I am new to PBS, I apologize for the trivial questions. I am reading the documentation, but in the meantime I would like some first advice. My server is a Dell R510 with 2x480GB SDDs in RAID1; 3x600GB HDDs in RAID5; 9x300GB HDDs in RAID6. With the Dell PERC H700 controller I am not able to view...

Proxmox installed, but does not start.

I also talked about it with my other colleagues. This server is for a lab test, so even if we don't have the best configuration we still have to get it started. My idea is to boot from an internal 32GB Patriot SD and use an internal USB stick to store over the ISOs. At this point it is a...

Proxmox installed, but does not start.

I do not know. I try asking on an HPE Forum. If I install Proxmox on a USB stick inserted into the internal USB connector of the motherboard, it starts without problems.

Proxmox installed, but does not start.

I am installing Proxmox on NVMe with a PCIe adapter. The installation is successful, either by installing Proxmox on one disk or on two in RAID1. But then at boot it does not start and the server (HP DL380 G8) goes to try to boot with the network card. Obviously it is configured to start the...

How to partition boot SSD (ZRaid1)

By selecting only one disk, I can partition it, for example define how big the Swap is. If I select two disks in RAID1, I can only decide how much space to use overall. I then saw that I cannot use RAID-Z with only two disks. At this point I am undecided: -use all or part of the 480GB in RAID1...

I knew this, but that's not what I asked for.

How to partition boot SSD (ZRaid1)

When configuring the installation I can enter the disk options and size the partitions. However, if I decide to do the mirroring on a second disk right away, in the advanced options I don't find these options and the whole disk is used. Is this correct or did I do something wrong? Is there any...

Is Controller Hardware or Proxmox Managed Better?

I have a DL380 server with 8 x 150GB SAS HDDs. I will also install one or two 1TB NVMEs. Is it better if you configure a RAID6 from the controller or a RAID-Z3 from Proxmox? I was thinking of using NVME partitioning it for booting and other space, then all SAS disks as working space, managing...

    NVMe for booting. What size?

I want to install Proxmox on an HP DL380p Server with 2 Xeon 6 cores CPUs, 64GB of RAM and 8 300GB HDDs. For booting I want to install an NVME controller with two 1TB Sabrents to handle Mirroring. However, it seems to me an excessive and wasted space. What do you recommend? Thanks in advance for...

    Better 6 or 12 HDD?

There are 15 people in the office. I need to create a server to virtualize at most 2/3 servers. I have a Dell with 32GB RAM and XEON 6 Core CPU. I can configure it with 6x600GB HDDs or 12x300GB HDDs. Which configuration do you think would be better?

Wake On LAN (WOL) does not work with Realtek RTL8111E

No, it is a Proxmox Server, not a NAS. I was wrong in writing.

How to create my folder for ISO & Backup

Done! Thanks. Now I have a 600GB HDD as Directory (not as Storage). But I still haven't figured out how to create folders. In the GUI I don't see options, while if from the schell I type mkdir /dev/sdg/sdg1/tools the error returns mkdir: cannot create directory '/dev/sdg/tools': Not a directory...
