oh just that? i thought you would like go through a source install or something, many thanks! :) My challenge is that the pve-root partition takes up like just 5GB out of the 24GB in my appliance that I am testing this out on, I might run into the "out of disk space" error :eek:

Since proxmox is based off debian, is it possible to install the latest version of proxmox with a desktop environment? Can you post links on how to do it as well? Since debian barebones-wise has a "graphic install" option however I do not see that when installing proxmox, thanks in advance for...

just as i suspected, but this dated back several months ago, perhaps there was an error in the backup process that it was left unfinished and still exists there?

So I use gzip to as the backup format for all my containers when saving them into tar files, but I also noticed a "vzdump-lxc*-.tmp" directory found in /var/lib/vz/dump and stood out amongst all the ".tar.gz" files so I am wondering what this is, and why is it a directory unlike the tar files...

Nevermind, I got it, /storage/HDD2 and /storage/Internal are from different hard drives, so I created mp0 and mp1 in my ct.conf file in /etc/pve/lxc and created 2 mount points for each of the directory. Hello! I haven't tried installing proxmox to a high volume drive and once I did on my 2 TB hard drive the root directory is only shown to be using up 88 GB. Can anyone please help me initialize the big chunk of the unused area in my 2 TB hard drive? Thank you!
