Did you ever get this working, @kck17288 ? I'm trying to do something similar, ubuntu container but with a Hauppauge USB thing and while I've got the container to see it under /dev/usb and /dev/dvb, plex just won't see it, with or without hauppauge's drivers and ppa and stuff installed.
I have OPNSense running in a virtual machine in proxmox 6.04. Whenever the host is rebooted, the guest is in a paused state and doesn't boot.
I haven't set "Freeze CPU at startup" and I can't see any other suspicious options. Console shows "Guest has not initialized the display (yet)."
Hitting...
I don't think so, the snapshot button is greyed out, and pct snapshot 100 gives me an error (I'm not at home right now so I can't quote it).
edit:
If there is a way, I'd be grateful to know it?
Well, I stopped everything here plus lxc-monitord and it still did it. [EDIT:WRONG]
then I stopped lxcfs, apparmor and smartmontools and it stopped o_O
My money is on smartmontools. More investigation to follow...
Nope, if it was I could understand it. The disks are literally only used by the Plex container, but this happens even when it's off.
I wondered if it's statistics collection for the web console? I did test with no web consoles open and it still happened.
Sorry, I'm not sure I understand the question! the containers are on the NVMe ssd that I installed proxmox on, in whatever the default format is for that. Does that answer your question?
I have a plex LXC which has some EXT4 hard disks bind-mounted to it. This means they are mounted on the host.
Devices are /dev/sda, /dev/sdb and /dev/sdc. They aren't accessed by any other VM.
None of them will stay parked. I have manually parked them with hdparm -y but they wake up...
Yes, you're right, thank you. Unfortunately I have several disks with lots of stuff on that are ext4 so that doesn't help me, but I'm sure the info will be helpful to others.
EDIT
sorry, removing the network card solved the problem. So I still have a problem (binding to the wrong interface??) but I will write that in a separate post when I've thought more about it.
I guess submitting a post helps me to think through a problem :p can this post be deleted?

As in title, the snapshot button is disabled and pct tells me I can't do it since I set up bind mounts. I have backup=0 set on the bind mounts. Is this a config error on my end, or this widely experienced bug first reported in 2016 (with this workaround)?
Well, solved it.
turns out that unlike what you read online, the space after the comma makes it all fall over.
Correct:
mp0: /mnt/drives/drive_b,mp=/mnt/drive_b
wrong:
mp0: /mnt/drives/drive_b, mp=/mnt/drive_b
This is what the documentation says so no complaints, but as the space...
I'm trying to bind-mount some disks into an Ubuntu container, but I keep getting errors about the format of the conf file.
100.conf:
Here's the error (although it does start):
Is it trying to tell me that
the folder exists in the container:
and the disk is mounted to the host:

As title - brand new proxmox 6.02 install onto NVMe M.2 card.
I've tried this a few times and if I do a debug install then during the install process the computer gets an IP through DHCP, can ping other computers and the internet and responds to pings etc.
However, once installed it can ping...
