What we would achieve is to fast backup all VM's with incremental backups in case of an disaster recovery of all vms needed. If we use let's say PM883 or PM893 SATA SSD Enterprise Grade and 1Gbit direct connection between servers would this be fast. We are now creating backups to an external HDD...
Hello,
We currently hosting several Proxmox VE hosts in our datacenter all on Enterprise SSD's. What we want to achieve is to setup another bare-metal server with Proxmox PBS installation and an direct connect with an 1gbit cable between the Proxmox VE servers and the Proxmox Backup Server. I...
Hello,
We've encountered an issue with an VM which has failed to make an backup, since the backup process didn't stop by itself we killed it by use of the process ID. We managed to fix the filesystem corruption on this particular VM but I was wondering why this can happen on the filesystem of...
Could you provide more details of the network settings of the host and VM? The reason that you get an different IP as response is because most likley 169.254.224.96 Is your gateway address.
Hello,
This is most likely that you haven't choose for snapshot as backup option. But I am guessing right now. Could you please provide an image of how you create an backup and the usage statistics of the host while running an backup?

Hello,
We have a Proxmox server setup in our datacenter with a local network configured for the host (Proxmox GUI) and we have a second VMBR setup named VMBR1 with a Linux BOND for failover to access our public IPS. Now I was wondering, how could we prevent that our CT/VMS can ping our local...
I found this thread, and can confirm that we have the PM893's 1.92TB variant in ZFS RAID 1 has pretty fast a wear-out percentage of 1%. Hopefully you're right ;)
I see, however I haven’t experience according tot this specific “issue” but what you could try is the following command:
pstack this will print a stack trace of a running process. Maybe you could find some information about the running processes.
Hello,
I was wondering it this could just be load on your server? How many VMs / CTs are you currently running? Maybe there is a stuck process if it’s not the load?
