You purchase the subnet from hetzner e create the bridge for it, activate ipv4 forward and proxyarp and that's it
You can do something like this:
# device: eth0
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address <IP from subnet]
netmask <Netmask of subnet>
gateway <Gateway of subnet>
You have to...
I wonder, is it possible to have 1 server (maybe a small VPS) with the only use of webpanel administration of all nodes?
For example, if I have 1 vps, 5 dedicated servers, can i install proxmox web panel to the vps and be able to manage the 5 dedicated servers, even if them are out of the...
Can you give me some more informations on how to achieve that?
I know proxmox does RRD graphs, however doesn't indicate the network speed used (Mbps, etc)
Hello, I haven't found any docs related this (or maybe I'm bad at searching?).
I need to monitor the bandwidth usage of my guest VMs using a subnet.
Is there any days to do that?
Like, have an history of the bandwith usage (in Kbps, Mbps, etc) of the VMs on a specific base/singular?
For...
I searched on the docs here https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/User_Management#Objects_and_Paths
However, I couldn't find a suitable option.
My problem is the following:
I have a subnet /29 for the VMs, however, every VM are able to set their own IP, and they can "steal" another VM IP on the same...
I solved the issue with the following:
- converted the VMs to template
- uploaded the VMs disk outside the host
- Downloaded all the configs of VMs and SSL certs
- wiped everything from host and reinstalled the host without RAID
- I left out 1 SSD (unmounted)
- Installed Proxmox-VE
- Reuploaded...
Well, if I reinstall, I do that without any RAID configurations, so I'll just have /dev/sda and /dev/sdb, so hopefully I'll be able to also use /dev/sdb space.
About the Backup, could you be more specific? How you do that? Isn't backup too large to download/upload?
Yes, I installed proxmox-ve following their guide and some other instructions on proxmox official documentation.
I have a question though, isn't related to proxmox itself, but should give me a start point to fix those stuffs, since I haven't understand what a RAID setup should be.
Does the raid...
So basically, installing a new debian 10 system by ISO would get rid of the RAID setup?
Or it is a physical setup on the server itself?
I am using hetzner as provider
(first time working with raids)
I know those are general linux now, but if you could help I would appreciate a lot, I don't know...
Is the mraid setup dictated by the hosting provider or was it an option by proxmox-ve setup?
Can I get rid of that setup and use a standard one? How?
I'm sorry for the lot of questions, sadly I am new to proxmox and even searching on the docs I couldn't find anything related that
I installed proxmox VE as per command line (apt-get install proxmox-ve), everything's fine and works ok.
However, when I attempt to create VMs or allocate space for them, on local storage, it shows only one of my SSD's (I can see only 921GB)
On the server there is 2 disks of 1TB each.
I can see...
As the title says, I need some help installing the subnet from hetzner...
I got a /27 subnet with 30 usable IPs, however, the network on the host server works fine, the VMs instead doesn't have any internet access or network access.
Those are my configs:
Host

[EDIT - please move my thread to network section, I opened in wrong one]
------
[EDIT2 - in order to solve it, I had to downgrade to debian 8 and use an outdated version of proxmox 4 chosing NAT option in VM setting]

I'm getting crazy trying to get my installation of proxmox to work...
