I have a 2-CPU license of Proxmox 3.4 which I want to move from one server to another. The original server will be reformatted with a different OS. At the moment, the original server has the licence, and the new server is unlicensed, and I have them in a cluster from which I will remove the...
Hello,
I have had a hard disk die in a single CPU machine, and have had to reformat the machine with a new hard disk, but now I find that my licence key from March won't work (Invalid Server ID)
Dear Proxmox,
I have had to replace the HDD on one of my Proxmox servers. However, when I try to install the subscription key I have, it says "invalid server ID". Do I need a re-issued key? All other hardware is the same apart from the hard disk.
(The old hard disk from the server will be...
Hi. Date and time on both nodes was the same. I always use the same realm, which is LinuxPAM. I managed to reset the password through the GUI on the "proxmox3" server, which seems to have fixed it. Not sure how the situation came about in the first place though.
Hi.
My server "proxmox5" no longer accepts the root password when logging into the control panel on www.myhostname.com:8006
However, the server "proxmox3" which is in a cluster with it, lets me login and control proxmox5.
I've read other reports of similar things on here, but my situation is...
Hi, it restarts fine using the command you specified.
i think the issue is the order in which the boot up sequence attempts to start the various services.
Hi, no the problem continues after rebooting the node.
I also found a lock file which I thought shouldn't be there and removed it, but that didn't help.
It does seem to fail to start the 'cluster' process, which I assume is related.
Hi, upgraded our "proxmox3" server last night, ( which is used only to run openVZ VMs) and all my virtual containers disappeared. This turned out to be caused by the entire /etc/pve directory disappearing, comparing it with our working "proxmox5" server, which was already the latest version, I...
Update: They swapped out the RAID card and now everything's fine. Thanks for the input however, it was important to rule out Proxmox PVE as a possible cause, and I'm glad to be able to run rsync within a CT, without any problems now.
Hmm, I don't think anything gets logged to the logfiles, although something is sent to the console, which I've posted a screenshot of earlier in this thread. Here's are output of the RAID card's internal log, but I don't think this says much of use
Date-Time Device Event...
I'm experiencing an issue whereby my host machine's RAID card goes offline or read-only, when an rsync job is run within a CT guest.
I believe the problem is hardware related, but my hardware vendor is saying it could be down to an issue with Proxmox PVE.
It occurs mainly when I run an rsync job...
