I dont know if its motherboard fake raid or not.. its a supermicro board. model H8DAE-2 with two opteron quads... ? :confused: I didnt think it was wise to have boot on the RAID volums.. ? maybe I'm just confused? The SATA drives are 1.5TB. Like I said.. this is just to boot... thank you

happens to me every once in a while, too.. seems to go away after removing and rebuilding the VM. and being very careful not to enter any erroneous key strokes during the VM install/build off iso.

Some kind of back end storage area appliance to provide storage for VMs. perhaps with choice of protocols, iSCSI, SAMBA, NFS, etc.

well, maybe I spoke too soon. The VNC console appeared, but there was some time lag from when the machine was created and displayed the VNC.

I thought I'd try installing proxmox. I downloaded the iso and burned to a disc. (dvd) The disc performs the initial boot. then never goes further. it just hangs. any suggestions? I'm using AMD tri cpu on a gigabyte motherboard with built in ATI video.
