Moved from private LAN to Root-Server

Hooray, I've got some time to make further investigation and stumbled over the solution. With moving my old VM's to the new server I have forgot to setup the new DNS-Server for the restored VMs. You can do this on the 'DNS' tab on every VM. That is also why new VMs had automatically access to...

Moved from private LAN to Root-Server

Oh, sorry. I just 'invented' the IPs for the case, thus they are differ between my two posts. I adjusted them in the first post. Nevertheless the second post shows the working configuration of the HOST system (where Proxmox is running and having the public internet IP). The curious thing is...

Moved from private LAN to Root-Server

Nice, I've got the solution: Here's the part unchanged part of the 'real' network connected to the internet with a real IP: auto eth0 iface eth0 inet static address 176.9.15.182 broadcast 176.9.15.187 netmask 255.255.255.248 gateway 176.9.15.176 # default route to access...

    HTML5 console problem

Anyway VNC and SPICE with virt-viewer works still fine. But when you mention port 8006... I just use the reverse proxy for port 80 and 443. I remember that I mapped the port range used by VNC / SPICE directly to the proxmox machine on my internet gateway. So is there a special port 'noVNC' uses...

    HTML5 console problem

Hello, I have exactly the same problem (see screenshot at the bottom) Server Details: latest Proxmox VE Community (2014-09-17), running behind a reverse proxy with subdomain (https://proxmox.xarif.de), this domain points to a dynamic ip; everything is working fine since years, except the novnc...

    My day with SPICE

Hello, this short article should describe my experiences with the new SPICE feature in Proxmox and why it is no out-of-the-box solution at present. There are two main issues, making SPICE not usable for my configuration. Issue #1: SPICE becomes slow I start with an introduction of my former...

Problems with Spice Unable to Connect to Graphics Server

If I got that right you have to manually set up the update repositorys if you have no subscription. Isn't it possible to configure the proper repository links automatically depending on having a valid subscription or not? Otherwise you would not get updates maybe without taking notice of it.

Problems with Spice Unable to Connect to Graphics Server

Mhh, anyhow I do not understand why proxmox isn't gathering the content from the update site. I don't think that I had ever touched the config-files. Nevertheless here are the files where the 'ignored https://enterprise.proxmox.com' is mentioned: cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pve-enterprise.list...

Problems with Spice Unable to Connect to Graphics Server

Also if I have no valid subscription? Or is there something wrong with my (normally original installed) configuration? Linux proxmox 2.6.32-23-pve #1 SMP Tue Aug 6 07:04:06 CEST 2013 x86_64 root@proxmox:~# aptitude update Treffer http://ftp.de.debian.org wheezy Release.gpg Treffer...

Problems with Spice Unable to Connect to Graphics Server

    Proxmox internet access

Ah right. I forgot this file and did not mention the difference between gateway and dns-server.

    Proxmox internet access

SOLVED DNS Tab(!) - that is the detail I missed. Have not mentioned that one after snowman66s post. Thank you both. Is there a corresponding config file for the nameserver setting?
