Hi folks,
I have some kind of showstopper here and I am unable to solve it myself.
I got PVE running at a dedicated server (Hoster). There I have got a main IP, where the PVEs Gui is accessible (1.1.1.1).
I got an additional IP 1.1.1.2 for my routing VM (ipfire). So I can say: If someone...
Liebe Community,
ich habe folgende Ausgangssituation:
1x Hetznerserver (dediziert)
1x Haupt IP 1.1.1.1
It should be that way for example and not address 192.168.0.0/24 :
auto vmbr0
iface vmbr0 inet static
address 192.168.0.200/24
gateway 192.168.0.2
bridge-ports enp3s0
bridge-stp off
bridge-fd 0
Hi, can you ping an IP address like 8.8.8.8, which is Google DNS?
If so, you may have an DNS issue.
Just saw that you have a 192.168.0.0/24 address on your nic - vmbr0. This should be an address Like 192.168.0.200/24
Just a little update: I will go with 2 physical NICS (WAN INTERFACE and LAN INTERFACE) and use a "virtual LAN bridge" with no physical NIC attached for the VMs I expose to the internet (DMZ). It seems like to be pretty the same as in VMWARE ESXI.
So the pfsense will have 3 zones.
I have a...
Hi,
I am just trying to figure out how to put some kind of software-firewall (pfsense/ipfire) between 2 networks.
My proxmox-host hast got 2 Nics. At the moment I am only using one of them (192.168.252.x/24) all devices -including the proxmox host- are running on this net. I set up an explicit...
Hi, thanks for your answer. So it would be a good idea to set up the NPM in a VM, cause it is directly facing to the net. (security).
Well, this would also solve my ufw "problem".
concerning the NIC limitation. I did such things in ESXI, but I have to have a deeper look into how this works...
Hi,
I restarted running proxmox on a "Minipc" with only a Intel Celeron (4 Cores), 32 GB and about 600GB of SSD-discspace. The box has got 2 NICS.
In this proxmox-environment I set up (all unprivileged):
1x LXC Debian Mariadb
1x LXC Debian NGINX Proxy Manager
1x LXC Debian Apache
1x LXC Debian...
Hi,
I am trying to allow access to PMVE GUI only from one IP. So I have activated the datacenter and hostfirewall and put the following rules to the datacenter fw:
from: 192.168.252.102/32 to 192.168.252.100 (GUI) -> allow
Default policy for incoming is drop
Setting this has no effect / or...
If we are talking about the vm which should be isolated, you can do it in /etc/network/interfaces (depending on the os of the isolated vm -- interfaces files = "e.g. Linuxderivates").
Don't remove / alter the gateway on the Proxmox-VE, this would lead to the behaviour you are talking about...
