Hello.

I wonder if anyone can help. We had an issue with a proxmox server which powered down due to power failure. As such its wanting to run a disk check on startup which is fine. The issue I have is that it needs to have the check done manually and this requires the password.

The issue I have is that our customer has lost there password. I thought I would be able to just reset it, but nothing seems to work.

Can you suggest a way to fix this situation?

Hi,
boot an live cd like grml, do from grml an fsck, and then should all fine.

Of course you can also edit /etc/shadow in /dev/pve/root, but it's after fsck not nessessary?!
